What we place here

What Jiangsu is built for

Knitwear and structured garments start here. For small, trend-led cut-and-sew runs, another cluster is usually faster.

When to pick another cluster

When Jiangsu is the wrong call

Jiangsu skews to larger and more technical runs. If yours is small, trend-led or fabric-led, one of these usually fits better.

SEASCHEMATIC, NOT TO SCALE010203GUANGDONGZHEJIANGJIANGSUYOU ARE HEREFUJIAN
  1. If you want a small, trend-led first run

    Go to Guangdong

Guangdong suits small to mid orders and the fastest sampling, with fabric markets within driving distance of the factories.

    Guangdong cluster
  2. If the fabric is the product

    Go to Zhejiang

Zhejiang leads on fabric, yarn, synthetic fiber and silk, with woven shirting and fabric mills around Shaoxing.

    Zhejiang cluster
  3. If it is sportswear or performance apparel

    Go to Fujian

Fujian, around Quanzhou and Jinjiang, is the sportswear cluster, and more interesting at volume.

    Fujian cluster
  4. If it is not clothing

    Not with us

We place apparel only: no footwear, bags or hard goods, and no fast-fashion drop-ship.

Chinese New Year applies everywhere: factories close for roughly 2–4 weeks in late January or February, and output drops before the break.

How the money moves

You pay the balance after the inspection. Not before.

The usual China horror story starts with 100% paid up front. Ours ends with a third-party inspector checking the finished order before the 70% leaves your account.

  • Sweaters, knitwear and tailoring: structured garments and wool knitting. It also skews to larger-volume, more technical production. Specialisms, not a quality ranking.

  • Yes, from 100 pieces per style for knitwear and 150 for tailoring and outerwear. Because Jiangsu skews to larger runs, we check which factory takes your quantity; for a small trend-led run, Guangdong is often faster.

  • Suzhou and Nanjing. We choose the factory for your product and quantity, not the city.

  • Sampling takes 2–4 weeks. Bulk takes 6–8 weeks for knitwear and 9–11 weeks for tailoring and outerwear, from the approved sample. Yarn-dyed knitwear can need more; ask with your colors. Plan around Chinese New Year.

  • The factory quotes you and bills you directly. A 30% deposit starts bulk, and the 70% balance is paid only after a third-party inspection of the finished goods. Our fee, if any, is quoted in writing before any work starts.
