Four example runs

Four runs, week by week.

Each run is an example built from what we can put in writing: our minimums, sampling and bulk times, the 30/70 payment split with a third-party inspection, and our cost calculator. None of them is a client order, and your quote will differ.

How the money moves

You pay the balance after the inspection. Not before.

The usual China horror story starts with 100% paid up front. Ours ends with a third-party inspector checking the finished order before the 70% leaves your account.

  1. 01

    Day 1

    Brief

You send the product, quantity and date. We reply within 24 hours.

  2. 02

    Visited factory

    Quote & sample

A factory we have visited in person quotes you directly and makes the sample.

  3. 30%

    Deposit

    30% starts bulk

Paid to the factory once you approve the sample.

  4. Before shipment

    Third-party inspection

An independent inspector checks the finished goods against your tech pack.

  5. 70%

    Balance

    70% then ship

Paid only once the inspection report is back.

The factory bills you directly. Our fee, when there is one, is quoted in writing before any work starts.

About these examples

Examples, not client orders.

How the example runs were put together, and how your own run will differ.

  • No. Each run is an example built from the facts we can put in writing: our minimums, sampling and bulk lead times, the 30/70 payment split with a third-party inspection, and the calculator. No client, factory or result is implied.

  • From our cost calculator, using the settings listed on each run: the garment base price, times the fabric, quantity and complexity factors, plus extras per unit. Where we have a typical cut, make and trim range for the product, it is shown beside it.

  • Because a real quote is made against your tech pack. Fabric weight and composition, trims, print or wash, size range and the number of colorways all move the price, and so does the factory’s schedule when you order.

  • Sampling takes 2–4 weeks. Bulk takes 6–8 weeks for knits and jersey, 7–9 for wovens and dresses, 8–10 for activewear and 9–11 for outerwear, denim and tailoring, from approved sample. Start at least 14 weeks before your ship date and plan around Chinese New Year.

  • You pay the factory directly. A 30% deposit starts bulk after you approve the sample. A third-party inspection checks the finished goods before shipment, and the 70% balance is paid only after the inspection report is back.

  • From 100 pieces per style for knits, jersey, wovens and dresses; 150 for outerwear and tailoring; 200 for denim and activewear. The fabric mill can set a higher minimum per colorway.

The same steps on every run

Sample, bulk, inspection, then the balance.

Every example run passes the same checkpoints: an approved sample before the 30% deposit, and a third-party inspection before the 70% balance.
